Bernd Groh

Bernd Groh has been working for hubergroup for more than twelve years as Global Product & Portfolio Manager. He is responsible for the Sheetfed & UV portfolio. Under the leadership of him, the printing ink manufacturer hubergroup has developed a comprehensive product range for offset and packaging printing that has been evaluated by EPEA according to the requirements of Cradle to Cradle® and got certified by the Cradle to Cradle® Product Innovation Institute. He also supported hubergroup's gravure ink division in obtaining certification for Cradle to Cradle®.He studied economics and psychology at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich

Presentation Title: Sustainable Ideas, Concepts and Products

The topics of environmental protection and sustainability are becoming more and more important for companies and industries. The demand for ecologically optimized products is growing rapidly and internationally. Many leading brand manufacturers, discounters and media companies have committed themselves to sustainability in the sense of a holistic responsibility and are intensifying their efforts to optimize their products in order to leave a positive ecological footprint.Already in the year 2015 the hubergroup took up the challenge of redeveloping its standard portfolio for sheet-fed offset and gravure inks in the direction of cradle-to-cradle (C2C). Since 2017 the hubergroup has been setting new standards for environmental protection and resource conservation and was one of the first ink manufacturers worldwide to present its comprehensive offset and gravure product range for packaging printing, certified by the Cradle to Cradle® Product Innovation Institute.The auditorium will get an insight view how the hubergroup has made sustainability its DNA and which aspects are considered and implemented in the holistic sustainability approach. In addition, Bernd Groh will present the Cradle to Cradle concept, which focuses not only on the technical and biological recyclability of the product, but also on the sustainable and responsible behaviour of the manufacturer as an overall concept.
