Gülin Yücel

After BA in Political Science at Bogazici University and MBA at CASS (City University), Gulin Yucel started career in IBM. During 20 years of engagement in versatile industries, she delivered business consultancy, e-business, CRM, ERP and other transformational projects. She managed the digital sales channel, which served about 3000 corporate customers.As General Manager she led Pronet, leading security company with over 1500 employees and 150,000 customers.Gulin Yucel is a certified member of International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP) and serves as a sustainability consultant for 6 years. she teaches sustainability at Koc University Business School and Bogazici University.

Presentation Title: Sustainability Assessment For Corrugated Board Industry

The research made by Bogazici University and Brika Sustainability for OMUD (Corrugated Board Manufacturers Association of Turkey) 2019 looks into sustainable development pathways of the Corrugated Board Industry in Turkey by a detailed life cycle assessment and sustainability framework analysis.The aim was to see negative environmental aspects during production process (cradle-to-gate); starting from collection of materials (cradle), shipment to production sites, production and finally arrival at gate.This presentation intents to demonstrate the basic output of the research.
