Food Technologist M.S. Chemist B.S. He worked in TSE Packaging Center Directorate between 1979-1995. In this period; he received packaging training in USA, UK, Germany and Finland. He worked as the Secretary General of Turkisk Packaging Manufacturers’ Association between 1995 and 2000 and as the Quality Assurance Manager of ASAŞ Packaging Printing Industry and Trade Inc. between 2001-2010.He served as the Chairman of TSE Packaging Technical Committee. He is a jury member in ASD Packaging Competitions. Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Food Contact Materials Commission Presidency, Ministry of Industry and Technology Haztek Ready Packaging Commission membership, the General Secretariat of the Flexible Packaging Manufacturers Association, TOBB Turkish Packaging Assembly Consultancy, TSE Package Mirror Committee Chairman are the other tasks carried out by himself.

Presentation Title: Packaging Legislation and Standardizatıon

In the production and use of packaging materials; it is essential to package the most products using less amounts of packaging material. The packaging material is expected to be sustainable and support the circular economy. These issues need to be considered together with the compatibility of the packaging material and the packaged products. Minimum requirements for compliance between packaging materials and product are laid down in the relevant legislation. Declarations of Compliance shows conformity with the legislation, to the competent authorities and customers, and provide communication as an integral part of the external contexts. In addition, implementation of these issues, compliance with management systems standards and product-specific product standards, which are indicative of the conformity of the infrastructure, are among the criteria sought.
