Haluk Giray

He was born in 1949. After his graduation  from Istanbul Economical and Commercial Sciences Academy in 1972 he has participated Marketing and Advertising  traning programmes in Cambridge Technical College. He joined Shell Turkey in 1976 and worked in Operation, Sales and Marketing departments. He worked as Sales Manager of Lubricants and Fuels  In Shell Markets Middle East located in Dubai for three years.  He has retired from Shell Turkey while his latest responibility was Chemical Business Manager as well as he was a member of the Managament Committee of Shell Turkey. Currently he is the Sales and Marketing Group Director in SARTEN PACKAGING being responsible from both Domestic and Export Markets. He is the member of Management Team as well.  Haluk Giray apart from being a Board Member of BOSAD he is also in the Board of TURKTRADE , PRIVATELABEL, ÇEVKO , and DEIK’s Egypt , Moroccon Business councils. He is also a member of Packaging Association.

Presentation Title: Metal Packaging Recycling

When metal products reach the end of their useful life, the materials are simply collected and recycled, again and again, with no loss of their inherent properties. This is known as real recycling.The metal packaging industry and its recycling stakeholders are committed to a real-recycling society. Up to 80% of all metal ever producted in the world is still available for use.  Today, 73% of metal packaging is reclycled in Europe, (source: MPE).  We are committed to an average European metal packaging recycling rate of 80% by 2020.
