He was born in 1983 in Muğla/Milas. In 2001, he graduated from Milas Anatolian High School, Graphic Design Department. In 2007 he graduated from Marmara University, Faculty of Technical Education, as a printing teacher. He had been worked a couple of printing house when he was student. Since 2009 he has been working as Sales Manager at Böttcher Turkey. He is married and has two children.
Presentation Title: Direct Laser Engraving System For Rubber Sleeves and Flat Rubber Plate
Since many centuries the technology of photopolymerization is the most popular technique to make a flexo printing plate. After chemical exposure using a 2-dimensional mask (former a film, nowadays an ablated black layer) the photpolymer becomes via Ultraviolet-Radiation (UV-Radiation) a 3dimensional plate. But laser technology has made dramatic improvements regarding output of high power, homogenity, constance and controlling. At the other hand, workflow has changed to completely digital. Now using a high power laser to engrave directly the form and generate without any additional chemical treatment (no UV-Radiation to effect photopolymerization) is a new technology which offers new chances for improving print quality. The technology of Direct Laser Engraving („DLE“) becomes more and more popular. Böttcher is producer of rubber sleeves and flat rubber plate for imaging with technology „DLE“. The Presentation will explain technology of material and of direct laser engraving. The difference and benefits in comparison with photopolymerisation will be presented.
