Eurasia Packaging Fair is being held this year twenty-eighth time, contributes to the development of the Turkish Packaging Industry in the international arena.
The Turkish Packaging Industry is one of the rare sectors that positively contributes to the country's foreign trade deficit with the added value it creates. In the first 6 months of 2023, the sector posted a foreign trade surplus of 1 billion 148 million dollars and continues to grow in exports. The sector exports to 180 countries. Total packaging exports amounted to 1 million 437 thousand tons in the first 6 months of 2023. In terms of value, exports reached 3.5 billion dollars. The packaging sector is working to export at least half of the packaging produced in Türkiye.
Two points are of great importance in packaging production: "Sustainability" and "Environment". Today, very detailed studies are carried out to produce packaging using the minimum possible material. Production and trade processes targeted within the circular economy are closely monitored. Packaging is the material that creates economy, it is a common area for all industries in the world.
We have to set our purpose and goals for 20230 and beyond.
