Tuğba Şimşek

Tuğba Şimşek was born in Bursa in 1981. She graduated from Middle East Technical University, Department of Chemistry in 2005. In his business life, which she started in 2005, she takes responsibilites in manager and director positions in the fields of Quality Assurance, R&D, Quality Management Systems, Production Operations, Supply Chain, Environmental Management, Corporate Communications, Legal and Scientific Affairs and Corporate Sustainability practices in the food industry. Among the companies she worked for are Sütaş, Pınar Su, Uludağ Beverage, Fersan and Kızılay Beverage. Tuğba Şimşek has been working as the R&D and Quality Director since June 2022 in Kızılay Beverages.

Presentation Title: Plastic Bottle Coating Technology and Production of Long-Lasting Sustainable Products

The first artificial plastic was invented by Alexander Parkes in 1838 under the name "parkesin". The first plastic was made by Leo Hendrik Baekelend in 1907, "Baketin". In 1870, artificial plastic was patented, and in 1909 the first plastic was patented. Plastic is a complex structure formed by the combination of C, H, N, organic and inorganic structures. Due to its light, inexpensive, malleable, etc. Features, except ıts use ın many different areas in the industry,and as it has harms,it substitues its place with pet bottle and KHS Innopet plasmax 12D barrier technology. Thanks to this technology, it prevents the increase of oxygen and gases into the product in pet bottle coating, and the loss of dissolution in carbonated products, by ensuring the crystal clear appearance of pet bottles and protection inside the product bottle. In addition, a 100% conversion from bottle to bottle is achieved through, optimizing the cost of savings, resources and raw materials, thus preventing and maintainning natural quality pollution are perdited.
