Presentation Title: Recovery Test and Research Center
Due to increasing production and changing consumption habits, there are changes in the types of packaging that enter our lives every day. Parameters such as recoverability, recovered material content, biodegradability are also gaining importance in these packages with the aim of using sustainable resources efficiently and minimizing the waste that may occur. In order to scientifically evaluate the developments in packaging in this context, a "Recovery Test and Research Center, GETAM" was established within Yıldız Technical University with the support of Istanbul Development Agency, in partnership with ÇEVKO and with the contributions of Unilever and CocaCola. The presentation will summarize the importance of these tests and the capacity of GETAM.
