Graham Houlder

Graham is the Managing Director of SLOOP Consulting B.V. which has been offering consulting services and tools in the field of packaging and sustainability since 2009. He is the Managing Director, founder & project co-ordinator for CEFLEX (a Circular Economy for Flexible Packaging), which is a collaborative initiative by over 130 companies and associations from across the flexible packaging value chain to make flexible packaging even more relevant in the circular economy. Prior to 2009, he worked for Unilever for 23 years with a wide range of responsibilities including: R&D, Packaging management and design, Supply chain restructuring, Sustainability and CSR. He is recognised as one of the industry thought leaders for sustainable packaging and is one of the 13 founding members of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition (SPC) and has served on the boards of EUROPEN & SPC.

Presentation Title: CEFLEX – Building the Circular Economy for Flexible Packaging

 

Mr. Foulder will present the CEFLEX project ambitions to make flexible packaging more circular through better pack design, more collection with better sorting and recycling and the establishment of sustainable end markets for the recycled materials. The presentation will include the latest deliverables and an update on how far CEFLEX is on the journey towards a circular economy for flexible packaging in Europe.
