Start of professional career at Akzo Nobel in the field of Industrial Coatings
(Laboratory Manager R&D + Product Development) Then I held further
managerial positions in the pigment industry (including since 2006 as Head of
"Inorganic Colored Pigments" at Heubach until 2012, then Head of
R&D at Heubach until the end of 2013.
Since Jan 2014 at hubergroup as Product Director for first
solvent-based printing inks and then for flexible packaging in general.
Currently I’m responsible as Product Director Flexible Packaging for the
product and technology management of the printing inks used in flexible
packaging (solvent-based, water-based and radiation-curing).

Oriented Packaging Design
When talking about inks for food and flexible packaging
immediately major trends come into play to which the ink and the ink industry
has to be able to respond. Compared to the past the requirement profile of ink
as substantially grown in many directions which at the same time is opening up
new possibilities and opportunities. Ink remains also in this context a
facilitator for new mega-trends like sustainability and combines “traditional”
and “innovative” aspects. This presentation tries to outline different major
trend-lines and wants to display how ink can actively support them.Therefore
ink remains an important component in flexible packaging designs.
