Graduated in Nuclear Engineering at the University of Bologna in Italy, Mr. Francesco Dattilo developed his career in Energy Business, with special focus in independent Power Generation, Oil and Gas infrastructure, and Energy saving, efficiency optimization and global sustainability,

Bringing 30+ years’ experience, out of which 20+ in Executive and VP roles in Multinationals (MAN D.E – Germany, General Electric - Italy, NIDEC - Japan), Mr. Francesco Dattilo has a proven successful track record of growth strategies both in startups and consolidated organizations.

Francesco Dattilo in 2012 was one of the founders and is currently  CEO of Printabled. After having developed applications of UV LED technology, PrintabLED is now recognized one of the market leaders for Ink and Varnish curing in different industrial Printing applications (metal, offset, labels, screen printing).

In the Global market, there is currenly an imperative demand to reduce CO2 footprint and Environmental impact in all industrial applications. In particular, printing process has a strong attention from all players, because not only there is a continuous research to eliminate harmful materials from inks and coatings, but it is also general requirement to reduce wherever possible energy consumption.

LED UV curing technology is now a very reliable process for most applications, and financial, security and environmental  benefits are well proven. In this presentation, it will be described the current and potential expansion of UV LED technology to Food compliant packaging products – that in the very last months had a recent impressive acceleration, thanks  to the jointly developments carried by Packaging producers, and by Equipment, Inks and Coating manufacturers.
