Yasin Durbilmez

I was born on July 17, 1987 in Yozgat. After my primary and high school education, I completed my undergraduate education at Izmir Institute of Technology Chemical Engineering program. After graduation, I worked in production and quality units in the cement sector in Izmir for 2 years. In 2015, I started my duty in AkzoNobel Server Boya company, where I still continue to work. I started my duty as an R&D engineer and I have been working as a Technical Manager since 2018. I am responsible for the R&D activities of the products produced within our company and at the same time for the technical services provided to our customers.

Presentation Title: BPA-NI Systems for Food Contacted Metal Packaging

Within the scope of this presentation, firstly, what is Bisphenol A (BPA), in which chemical structures is it found? BPA content in packaging and BPA sources in metal packaging will be discussed. The toxicological effects of Bisphenol A, the factors affecting the transfer of BPA into food and its hazards will be explained. What are the current regulations on BPA content and what are the expected new regulations on BPA content in the future.

In the continuation of the presentation, BPA-free solutions developed by AkzoNobel Server Boya for metal packaging will be mentioned. In this context; BP-free gold, pigmented and aluminized lacquers, twist-off, monoblock tube and soft tube inner systems, and powder seaming lacquers developed for three-piece food cans and EOE inner systems will be introduced.
