Mert Gülcan

I was born in Istanbul in 1986. I graduated from Istanbul University, Department of Chemical Engineering in 2009. In 2013, I completed my master's degree in Chemical Engineering.  I have been working at Özler Plastik for 15 years. Throughout my business life, I have worked on Quality, Continuous Improvement, R&D and Sustainability. I worked as a project coordinator in internal innovative projects within the company and many TUBITAK projects. I am currently working as Technical Director at Özler Plastik. At the same time, I am continuing my Executive MBA education at Özyeğin University.

Summary

Presentation Title: Özler Plastik Sustainability Studies

Sustainability studies have occupied an important place on the international order of business in recent years. These studies are now among the core subjects of many institutions.

As Özler Plastik, we do not only see sustainability issue as a part of our business, but also as a part of our future. While we continue our activities in accordance with the European Green Deal principles, we also include the special requirement of our customers regarding sustainability within our scope of studies. While we study on  producing our existing products more sustainably, we also design and develop new sustainable and nature friendly products.

Özler Plastik has been performing sustainability studies for many years and aims continuous improvments in this regard. How these studies are managed and implemented will be shared with examples of projects.
