He was born in 1971 in Van / Erciş as the first child of a
Army Officer’s family. He graduated from the İ.Ü. Faculty of Economics,
Department of International Relations in 1992. He spent whole 1994 in the UK as
an Au-Pair with a British family. After working in various sales positions at
Konica, Simtel, Işıklar Ambalaj A.Ş., Ünirep companies, he finally left OYKA
Kağıt Ambalaj A.Ş. when he was Sales Manager and became the founding partner of
İLKA Kağıt Ambalaj A.Ş. In 2004, he studied Foreign Trade at A.Ü. as a second
university. He completed his MA in Marketing Management at Istanbul Commerce
University at the beginning of 2023. He is married with a son. Outside of work,
he enjoys spending time on his boat. He also plays bass guitar in a band called
GRID, which he is together with his son.
Title of the Presentation: A Perspective Study for the
Future of the Turkish Paper Packaging Industry
This presentation prepared as a summary of the master's
thesis, which basically includes "Perception of Corporate Governance in
the Turkish Paper Packaging Industry", in accordance with the congress
format.
After a brief look at corporate governance meanings, the
presentation continues with evaluations and comparisons of the world and
Turkish packaging industry. More detailed evaluations, comparisons and sectoral
analysis are carried out in the world, Europe and Türkiye, specifically in the
industrial paper bag section.
By benefiting from the opinions of the industry members
involved in the thesis study, expectations regarding paper packaging production
in the world and in Türkiye are evaluated. Aiming to highlight the latest
developments, results, suggestions and discussion issues; it aims to create a
road map on how it can be communicated in terms of sectoral corporate
governance.
